KOOH Sports a Tech-enabled sports startup raised $2.2 million from existing investors which includes, Faering Capital, Elevate Sports and HDFC with participation from company’s co-founder.
The funds will be used for product development, marketing, team expansion and expansion into international market.
It was founded by Susir Kumar and Prabhu Srinivasan in 2010. It provides facilities and training programme for children available in developed market including Australia, UK and Dubai. Coaches are selected through Internal Training Programme.
It has partnered with 800 schools across 50 cities, 80 sports academies in 25 cities. It plans to increase 200 schools and 100 academies.
It earlier raised a funding of $2 million from Faering Capital- a private equity fund, HDFC, Elevate Sports, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.
