ConnectClass a Mumbai based marketplace for education and activities where users based on their requirements can search for tutors and classes and get connected to them. It has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from an investor. The funds will be utilized for expansion and product development.
It was founded in March 2016 by Samir Vithlani and Bhavik Solanki. Samir having more than 10 years of experience in the field of finance and compliance. Bhavik having 14 years of IT experience primarily in design, development and testing application using wide array of languages and platform. Bhavik takes care of IT whereas Samir takes care of Operations, Marketing & Finance.
It aims to provide their users with the information to find all the classes and tutors located near them on their platform. It provides information regarding learning which includes education, professional courses, kids activities, sports, music, dance classes, creativity classes, etc.
On asking about the idea Samir Vithlani Co-founder of ConnectClass said,
“We were searching for activity classes for our kids, but we found it very difficult to find all tutors and classes located in our vicinity at one place. Finally, we relied on reference to get class details for admission. We thought that in today’s world where everything is available upfront, then why not learning classes. Learning can be for education, sports, kids activities, professional courses, health, etc. There we thought was a good opportunity for us to enter.”
Its different from its competitors, as it uses a wizard based search criteria with which a user can find tutors and classes based on some questions making it more relevant to him. Based on the user’s requirement, interested Tutors contact the user to discuss in detail. This service will help the users to make quick decisions to opt for activities or classes without looking for reference, all the information will be provided to them at a click of a button.
They are promoting it through social media platforms and through marketing campaigns. Currently the services are available on Android platform. Their target audience is mainly students and professionals who are always in search of learning something new.
