Pitstop a Bangalore based car repair and servicing startup raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Alex Chua, COO at Goldbell Group based in Singapore and founder of Moglix, Rahul Garg.

The funds will be used to strengthen its base with the use of technology to streamline processes, customer experience and infrastructure. It also plans to expand its business in other cities including Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Chandigarh by the next quarter.

It was founded in 2015 by Nirant Ramakuru and Mihir Mohan. It aims to provide car owners with service providers and repair services. It has tied up with local garages which allow users to search for nearest dealers according to their budget and convenience.

Mihir Mohan, co-founder of Pitstop, said,

“We are delighted to have Alex, Rahul and other investors join us in our exciting journey to revolutionize the car care industry. Our aim is to offer standardized, transparent and hassle free care for car owners at the click of a button. We have currently partnered with 35 local garages which we verify for their level of service. We have stayed away from road-side assistance model as providing assistance in 30 minutes is a challenge.”

It faces direct competition from players including Droom, Steero, Bumper, Carzippi, Cartisan and others.

It had earlier raised funding from multiple investors including Ramakant Sharma and Anuj Srivastava, co-founders of LivSpace and Ashutosh Lawania, co-founder of Myntra.
